One of the newest entrants to the market is Navistar, which hopes to sell between 300 and 500 International ProStars a year in Russia. Navistar's vice-president of global marketing Kathy Seegebrecht says the marque has had a strong following in Russia since the early 80s when a large
number were used on the Trans-Siberian pipeline project. Since then the marque has been a popular used import choice among operators wanting a tough, reliable truck. International is opening nine dealerships in Russia.
