Money is available to help employers who want to offer thel staff more flexible working arrangements from the Work-Lifi Balance Challenge Fund which ha made .£10.5m available over the past three years. The fund is administered by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The London Borough of Mertc won £45,000 to pay for consultancy fees from the fund to address problems of recruitmen and retention. It worked alongsidi the union Unison to develop DYE flexible working arrangements including flexi-hours of 07:0019:00hrs with core hours from 11:00-15:00hrs and a 12:0015:00hrs lunch period.
