Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Irefer to your article that appeared on the legal pages in CM 5-fl September that concerned the affairs of Lakeside Haulage.

The article states that a driver had claimed that an untaxed vehicle "was being operated by M&B Freight". This statement is incorrect and can be proven by us to be incorrect.

We are a small haulage company endeavouring to operate within legal and ministry guidelines. You will appreciate that statements of this kind, contained in a trade magazine such as yours, will be read by many in the haulage industry. The consequences of which do not have to be outlined to you.

M&B Freight did not operate the vehicle in question and the only connection between M&B Freight and Lakeside Haulage is that the two companies share a yard at Grays Thurrock, Essex.

M Goklsbrough,

M&B Freight.
