• Following a two-year joint development programme with British Alc,an, Metalair's new road/rail pressurised powder box container has won an order for 25 from Scandinavian Rail Cargo AB.
The 2.8m-high, 50.5m3 intermodal box tares out at 3.2 tonnes on a 9.14m module. A 2.6m-high version has a capacity of 48m.
It is made from marine quality aluminium, discharges fully at 1 bar and has an easy-clean aeration system.
The powder box is approved as a T-container.
