FRAIKIN Ltd has started a fiveyear contract hire agreement to supply United Biscuits Distribution Services Ltd, part of the UB Group of companies, with 18 32ton gtw tractive units for its London based trunking operations.
Fraikin has bought 11 tractive units from the fleet of UB Distribution Services and has supplied seven ERF tractive units fitted with the Rolls-Royce 265L engine and Fuller AT 9509 gearbox.
To hold fuel costs down all the vehicles have been fitted with Hatcher wind deflectors and Fidus two-phase road-speed governors, which is in line with US Distribution policy.
Fraikin has assumed responsibility for maintenance and full back-up service for the fleet of 18 tractive units based at Harlesden, London.
