contest I was somewhat concerned to see (CM September 19) that the organisation of the UK Bus Driver of the Year competition was -attributed to the Road Transport Industry Training Board.
My committee appreciate the help given by the 13roard in the provision of the facilities at Motec 1, and the assistance of some of the staff as marshals, -but would like it known that the event is an independent organisation of which the Board has membership alongside of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
I am the organising secretary doing it from my own home in my spare time. I am keen to see the event maintain its independence -as I personally started the event while employed as Road Safety Officer with Coventry Corporation.
