ANOTHER cross Channel vessel built specially for rollon/roll-off goods vehicles was expected to be delivered to European Ferries today.
The vessel, European Clearway, like two others, European Trader, due at Dover last Wednesday, and a ferry already in service from Felixstowe, carries 2,000m of freight traffic and has a limited amount of passenger accommodation. The vessels can load and discharge simultaneously at two levels over both the bow and stern.
The company is to launch two new Super Vikings—one this month and the other in November. This will bring European Ferries' ro-ro fleet, which started in 1965, to 27.
