AN agreement has been concluded between Best and Co., Madras, and Simms Motor Units, Ltd., under which Simms electrical equipment will be exclusively manufactured in India by Best's. This was announced last week by Mr. C. E. Liardet, Simms' chairman, at the company's annual dinner.
Mr. Liardet said the move would mean that many engines produced in India— including Leyland, Perkins and Meadows —would soon be fitted with Simms electrical equipment.
