Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AGRICULTURAL I 1AULIERS have given a lukewarm response to last week's three-day strike organised by campaign group Farmers For Action.

Up to 3,500 farmers withheld goods including milk, meat and vegetables in protest at the low prices paid by the retail giants The farm price of milk has plunged in the last 10 years, from 27p/lit in 1995 to 17p today.

Most agricultural hauliers contacted by CM were either unaware of the protests or disapproved of the disruption.

But one milk haulier says: -We didn't directly support the strike as it affects our business. But the principles are right: something has to be done to stop the supermarkets having so much power."

David Handley, chairman of Farmers For Action, says: "Supermarkets were trying to say it's had no affect but my sources tell me there's a lot of panic going on."
