THE ROAD Haulage Association is to sponsor a commercial vehicle exhibition in England next September. It is being organised by Angex.

A spokesman for Angex told CM that the approach had been made by the RHA. "It is unusual that potential buyers rather than exhibitors should want an exhibition," he said.

The show, which will be staged at the Transport and Road Research Laboratory, at Crowthorne, Berkshire, will be held over three days — September 5-7. There is stand space for over 200 exhibits. The organisers will invite vehicle manufacturers and accessory and component companies to apply for space.

It is hoped, they say, to encourage manufacturers to show their entire vehicle range. According to Angex the stand costs of £10 per sqm are "the cheapest on the market."

Exhibitors will be able to demonstrate vehicles on the TRRL track. Exhibits are expected to include the entire range of commercial vehicles as well as engines and recovery vehicles.

The introduction of the commercial vehicle exhibition to the calendar makes September 1985 the busiest on record.

Other shows that month include the International Bus and Coach Show, the Frankfurt Motor Show, Lorry Driver of the Year, Truck Grand Prix and The Automotive Trade Show.

Details of the Crowthorne event are available from Angex Ltd, Europa House, St Matthew Street, London, SW1P 2JT.
