TED HUDSON, who joined Murphy Bros of Leicester in the days of solid-tyred lorries without power steering or indicators, has retired after 36 years as an HGV Class I driver. At that time he was one of five drivers. Now the depot, which is part of United Transport Distribution, has 200. Ted received a cheque from UDT's managing director Gerald Pickering to mark his retirement.
