Developed from the 6LXB, the 6LXC is designed to meet the legal power requirements for 32-ton vehicles and develops 150kW (201bhp) at 1920rpm. Maximum torque is attained at 1100rpm. A 6LXC is exhibited by James Bowen & Sons Ltd, Wester Hailes Works, Murrayburn Road, Edinburgh, on stand Eight Cummins diesel engines are included among the exhibits at the Scottish Show, though one only on Cummins own stand — 22 at Kelvin Hall.
