John Kilpatrick has joined Scottish Road Services as company sales manager, based at the head office in Cumbernauld. He was previously with another National Freight Corporation company, Roadline. Mr Kilpatrick had joined in 1972 as a sales manager for BRS Parcels, becoming regional sales manager when the name changed to Roadline.
Commercial-vehicle distributor Giltspur Motor Industries have named Peter Aspin as the new managing director. Mr Aspin was previously managing director of another company in the Giltspur Group, Giltspur Precision Instruments in Nottingham. For his new post he moves to the company offices in Derby.
Tony Rose has been promoted to become finance and systems director of Leyland Vehicles. Before taking up this new position at the beginning of the month he was finance director for the Passenger Vehicle Division at Leyland Vehicles. Mr Rose has been with the Leyland group for 17 years, including periods spent at Thornycroft. AEC, and Maudslay.
