To most Welsh people a bus stop is just that. But the rabid nationalists insist on their own lingo and Crosville is erecting signs with the words "Safle Bysiau" below or above their English equivalents, according to the county. The Welsh Office has adopted the phrase but Dyfrig Thomas, who teaches Welsh in Llanelli, says that students of the language are being taught "Arasfanas the word for bus stop.
Until the Welsh make up their minds they run a serious risk of missing the bus altogether.
