As a change from morning jogging, a tyre-rolling contest is being run by Associated Tyre Specialists during the Bri-Tyrex 79 Exhibition at the Metropole Exhibition Hall, Brighton on January 23-25.
Four new Michelin 165x 13in tyres have to be bowled along a slalom course made up with three old covers laid at 10ft intervals. The daily prize for the fastest time is a bottle of Scotch.
