P8r0 transport subsidiary Ferrymasters' new £0.75m trailer depot at Risley, near Warrington is due to open soon.

It is located on a five-acre site close to the M6 /M62 motorway junction and will be able to accommodate 120 trailers. There is also a 20,000scat maintenance depot, and 10,000sqft for covered warehousing, vehicle washing and fuelling.

Ferrymasters intends to base 40 tractive units at the new depot.

The results of the election, for up to seven non-industrial and no less than 14 motor industry representatives, will be announced at IMI's annual general meeting on November 28.
