'Kangaroo court' appeal allowed

• The Industrial Tribunal meeting Liverpool has allowed the appeal of a man who claimed he was dismissed after being „tied by a "kangaroo court" of his worknates. Mr D. L. Coleman, a driver employed )y Toleman's Delivery Services Ltd of Halewood depot, was reinstated in his job and awarded compensation of £1225. A deduction of £125 was made by the Tribunal which felt that Mr Coleman's conduct had at contributed to his dismissal.
Mr Coleman had alleged that the management had allowed "kangaroo courts" to be held on their premises. A resolution had been passed by the workers refusing to work with him because of his constant threats, aggressive attitude and false accusations against fellow workers. He said he had been "tried" because he had spoken out about strikers.
