Timber becomes easily maneagable with HIAB handling. HIAB's tong, slim boom, with its sensitive slewing systern•and high tensile steel construction, can thrust into congested" forest clearings and pick up heavy and awkward loads. It is operated by the truck driver from a top seat or control platform, whichever is preferred.
There's a vast range of accessory equipment designed for different kinds of material, grapples for handling whole trunks, pulp wood and light assorted roundwood; there is also a full-circle rotator and a quick-opening valve to make timber handling easier and more eiTicient.
