Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO new vehicles exhibited at the 1 Dairy Show were equipped with a common flat-twin air-tooled petrol engine which, in the Olympic Mark III ice-cream sales canteen, was mounted in the chassis above the rear axle.

This model, made by Commercial Motors (Harrow). Ltd., South Harrow, Middlesex. is of conventional fourwheel design, with normal steering and controls with cables connecting the accelerator, clutch pedal and gear lever to the units at the rear. The prototype model exhibited had a chain and sprocket drive between the gearbox output shaft and axle-drive bevel, but subsequent vehicles will have an enclosed spur-gear drive to the axle.

The Olympic body is similar to that of a battery-electric and the floor line is kept low. It is understood that the chassis is being developed for a wider range of commercial-vehicle bodies. At present it is available with a standard body for conversion for fried-fish sales or a general-purpose canteen.

The power unit employed is the Coventry Victor N-type horizontally opposed twin-cylindered engine of 804 c.c., which is equipped with a starter.

A34 rear of the chassis is a square-topped tipping bucket of approximately I-cubic-yd. capacity and a hitch for towing one or a series of trailers.

The fan-cooled engine is fitted to the side of the chassis and the driver sits by its side on a sprung saddle. Steering is by handle-bar, on which are mounted the accelerator and brake grips. This model is made by H. R. Nash, Ltd., London Road, Dorking. Surrey.

The OnDerman Motocart threewheeler with front-wheel drive is now available with an alternative power unit for operation on tractor vaporizing oil. The new engine, a J.A.P. air-cooled single-cylindered side-valve unit, has the same dimensions as the petrol engine, but has a new camshaft for different valve timing a divided fuel tank and a hot spot to the carburetter. It is started on petrol and the change to t.v.o. is made when the engine is warm. The Motocart is made by S. E. Opperman,

Ltd., Stirling Corner, Herts. '
