BELIEVED to be the first integral-type transit bus to be made in South Africa, Leyland-M.C.W. buses are to be built in Port Elizabeth by Bus Bodies (S.A.), Ltd., a company in which both Leyland Motors, Ltd. and Metropolitan Cammell Weymann Motor Bodies, Ltd. have a financial interest.
Mr. R. H. Morten, works manager of Bus Bodies (S.A.), Ltd., recently returned to South Africa after visits to the Leyland and M.C.W. factories. A complete Olympic bus will soon be shipped for demonstration purposes.
