Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

UNITED PALLET Network has launched a 'Micro Pallet' service to bridge the gap between the parcels and palletised freight sectors.

This allows UPN customers to ship loads up to 150kg and up to 600min high on standard pallets for next-day delivery within the UK. or they can use a timed service.

UPN chairman Martyn Chapman says: "Growth in online trading and the use of systems like eBay have opened the doors to a potentially huge market for smaller consignments of palletised freight.

"These heavy, multi-part consignments have been identified as 'profit stealers' by the parcels industry where suppliers tend to price themselves out of the market by imposing premium pricing to drive customers away. The Micro Pallet concept delivers a much more cost-effective solution."

At 25% less than the cost of a fullsized pallet, the service is available from more that 60 UPN depots across the UK. UPN's real-time signature-capture system, launched earlier this year, is a standard part of the Micro Pallet service.
