The legislation is before the European Parliament. A launch date has yet to be revealed but it is likely to come into force during the summer. However ECWVTA will not come into effect for a couple of years, giving manufacturers a breathing space to adjust to the changes. There will also be a period to allow member states to adopt the EC Directive into their domestic legislation.
