JWR, Birmingham AHighways authorities have a habit of measuring sight lines 2.5 metres back from the side of the road and at a height of 1.5m, which for commercial vehicles is ludicrous.

A driver's view from a truck cab at worst extends one metre back and three metres high. If this is explained to the Licensing Authorities they normally take it into account.
