• A management team has been appointed by specialist distribution company Bucks to take it into the next century. Four of the people on the new six-man team are existing Bucks employees who have been moved as a result of an internal reshuffle; the remaining two have been drafted into the company.

Brodie McMillan, Bucks' former distribution operations manager, is now general manager; Tony Sutton has been promoted from depot manager at Draycott-ln-TheClay, Derbyshire to distribution manager; Mohammed Siddique is now warehouse systems development manager (he was previously systems development manager); and David Wilcox, a former trainee manager, is now operations administrator. The new faces in the management team are Corbett Ross, warehouse development manager, and Derek Weaver, distribution systems development manager. Ross joins from EJ Arnold, where he was operations director; Weaver previously ran his own transport and distribution consultancy.

All are based at Draycott, but will be working for the entire Bucks operation which specialises in the handling and distribution of awkward, bulky and fragile consignments to high-street outlets. The company also has depots at Maidstone and Darlington.

According to Bucks' operations director Ron Bird, the changes are designed to take the company into the year 2000. "I genuinely believe we have got the right people around with the right expertise," he said.
