\A driver licensed ,t drive heavy goods vehicles must also hold an ordinary driving licence issued under Part III of the Road Traffic Act 1972 (formerly part II of the 1960 Act). Indeed, if the Part III licence is withdrawn then the hgv licence must be surrendered to the Licensing Authority till it s restored.
