TITANS FOR HOME AND ABROAD: A total of 30 Leyland Titan PD2.37 models has been ordered for service with the municipallyoperated transport system in Halifax. The passenger transport department is to receive 16 and the joint omnibus committee14. The West Pakistan Road Transport Board has ordered 28 Leyland Titan PD3.4 models to be shipped in c.k.d. form to James Finlay and Co. Ltd., the manufacturer's agent in Pakistan, and fitted with bodywork built in the Board's own workshops. Both home and export orders specify synchromesh gearboxes. air brakes and exposed radiators.

WELSH P.S.V. ORDERS: The Western Welsh Omnibus Co. Ltd. has ordered 25 Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1.11 and six A.E.C. Reliance chassis. The Reliances are to have AII470 engines and complete with 40-seat luxury coach bodywork will measure 31 ft. 10 in. long and 8 ff. 24 in. wide. Thomas Bros. (Port Talbot) Ltd.. has ordered four A.E.C. Reliance 36-ft. models with .4 11470 engines, of which three are to have Marshall 53-seal bus bodies and one will have a Harrington Cavalier 49-seat coach body.

SCAMMELLS FOR KARACHI: The Director-General for Defence Purchases in. Karachi has ordered eight Scammell Scarab three-wheeled tractive units and 32 3and 6-ton 15-ft.-long sided semi-trailers. Total value of this order is more than £16,000.

FOUR FOR YUGOSLAVIA: Gramat. the Yugoslav Government buying organization, has ordered four A.E.C. 10-cu. yd. Dumptruks for earth-moving work and hydroelectric projects.

SPACEVANS FOR FOOD: Three Crane Fruehauf 12-ton Spacevans on Cl singleaxle chassis have been delivered to G. W. Thompson Jewitt and Co. Ltd., of Ruddington, Notts, by Cripps of Nottingham Ltd. They are fitted with Joloda tracks and trolleys and are used to transport foodstuffs from manufacturing points to a central depot in Nottingham.

MORE TAR TANKERS: Yorkshire Tar Distillers Ltd., of Cleckheaton, has ordered four more A.E.C. Mammoth Major eightwheeler tankers. They will be powered by A.E.C. .4 V.690 diesel engines developing 192 b.h.p., and fitted with six-speed constantmesh gearboxes incorporating an overdrive top gear.

FOR HYDROCON CRANES: A £250,000 order has been placed with Albion Motors Ltd., by Lambert Engineering (Glasgow) Ltd., for the supply of 130 specially adapted chassis. They will be used for the basis of Lambert Hydrocon mobile cranes and 100 will be Chieftain Super Six 10-ft. 3-in.wheelbase models for the Highlander 6-ton crane. The other 30 will be Clydesdale chassis for a 4-ton-capacity crane.
