THE RHA executive committee has rejected a resolution from the Metropolitan and South Eastern area urging positive action to sponsor parking lots—preferably guarded—in all main cities for the use of long-distance hauliers.
It was reported that local authorities were reluctant to provide lorry parks because so few drivers used them. There was little point, therefore, in the Association adopting a policy of encouraging municipalities to make parking lots available on a large scale.
