Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

COMMON problem faced by transport companies in America is that of waterproofing the rear doors of their in semi-trailers. Without sure protection during heavy rainorms, moisture seeping through the doors and condensing from Le air can damage the cargo.

The usual solution has been to line the inside of the trailer aors with waterproof paper. Not completely satisfied with is method, one major American company recently conducted series of tests with several materials and found that polyhylene film, 2 mm. thick, gave highly satisfactory protection ' the trailer end.

For ease of application and to prevent wastage, the film is .ecut into sheets to fit the trailer ends and is folded over the p of the cargo and secured with tapes at the top and bottom. addition to providing more effective protection, the polyhylene has reduced both dock labour time and material costs. verall saving is as much as 50 per cent., as an added advantage that the film's clarity permits rear-end inspection of the cargo ithout removing the protective barrier.
