LTD., of Barrhead, were successful in the Glasgow Licensing Court on fuesday in their application for increased capacity to carry motor bodies from Pressed Steel Co„ Ltd., Linwood, to motor assembly plants in Great Britain. CRANES TO BUILD FRUEHAUF DESIGNS

IT is announced by Cranes (Dereham), 1 Ltd., that, with participation by the Wall Engineering Co., they have entered into negotiations with Fruehauf International, a subsidiary of the Fruehauf Trailer Co., Detroit, U.S.A., to form a new company at North Walsham to manufacture trailers and semi-trailers embodying designs and specifications of both Fruehauf and Cranes. Further details are to be circulated as and when neeotiations have been completed.

REPORT FROM "BEN" IN the annual report of the Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund, "Ben," it was stated that the total number of cases assisted during the year was 415 at a total cost of 05,759. This was £1.486 more than the 1959 figure. In addition, grants towards the education of children were a record at £1,642, nearly double the previous year.

Last year the 50 Centres and Local Boards contributed to the Fund a record sum of £18,338, but the number of subscribers fell by 288 to 17,377.

VAUXHALL SHARE-OUT AORE than half-a-million pounds is being paid out later this month to Vauxhall Motors' employees under the company's profit sharing scheme. Average payment to those employees eligible to participate will be 123 16s. id., less tax deductions.
