Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From our Industrial Correspondent ik 4Ft. TOM CLARO, the Ministry of in Labour's Chief Conciliation Officer. informed the unions last week that he has agreed to take up the dispute over their pay claim for 100,000 provincial busmen.

It is understood that he has been in touch with the employers, with a view to arranging a meeting with them.

If there is no hope of any settlement by negotiation Mr. Claro may suggest that the claim should go to arbitration.

HOURS CUT DEMAND

LONDON busmen are to ask London .1-4 Transport for a reduction of hours —from an 84-hour fortnight to one of

80 hours. This was decided by the Central Road Services Committee of the Transport and General Workers' Union last week.
