He was previously on the outside staff of the Co-operative Wholesale Society's motor trade department. MR. G. H. TAYLOR, Birmingham branch manager of Henley's, recently received a presentation to mark his retirement. He had been with the company since 1922.

NEW registrations in December, 1949, other than of cars and motorcycles, showed a further fall, the total being

10,307. This figure compares with 13,275 for November and 14,166 for

October. The total number of new tegistrations for 1949 was 174.034. The table below gives details:—
