worth over £35 million in the first five months of thi year.

The value of the orders is for chassis and Leyland coachbuilding companies Charles H. Roe, Park Royal and Eastern Coach Works have more orders worth another £11 million on their books.

So far this year, double decker bus orders have topped the 800 mark in a total bus order of 1,802 bringing the number of double-deckers on order to 3,700, made up of Atlanteans, Fleetlines and VRT models for operation by private operators.

Truck and Bus passenger vehicle division sales marketing and service director Trevor Webster commented that the orders at present on the books does not include any orders for the controversial B15 "superbus."
