When purchasing a second-hand vehicle of any description, it is advisable to find out if it is of standard make or built up of odd components. Some small dealers buy various types of vehicles and exchange the components in order to make them " runners." A case has recently been brought to our notice in Which a lorry chassis during overhaul was discovered to have a clutch which even the makers of the lorry are not able to identify.
