ROYAL MAIL parcels business rose by five per cent in May, compared with last year's figure.

The range of service offered by the Post Office has helped it gain an extra 1,200 contracts in the past financial year. About 11m more parcels were handled by the Post Office than in 198081.

Royal Mail parcels expect to show a £7m profit when trading figures for the year ending March 1982 are published this summer.
