FEARS that the results of the Wood Inquiry into lorry bans in London will not be acted upon until well into next year have prompted the London Boroughs Association to protest to the Greater London Council.
The LBA has written to GLC director general Sir James Swaffield, saying it is becoming anxious that the results of the inquiry — once expected by Easter this year — will not be available for some time.
It fears that the final report will not be available until next year, and that there will be a long period of deliberation after that before any action is taken.
