cars in the first half of 1964 was a record 184,786 units—a 51 per cent increase on the same period last year. Commercial vehicle production was la per cent higher (49,547 units compared with 42,031) and commercials exported rose from 23.870 to 25,928 (9 per cent).
Bedford light van production was 34 per cent higher and the output of Bedford trucks rose by 13 per cent to 37,093 units, 65 per cent of which were for export.
