Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

what's going on ear then?

ACCORDING TO the French newspaper Le Figaro, the French police are keeping a particular eye on the country's truck drivers because some of them are "steering by ear".

This follows a previous report that French truck drivers had been spotted watching television while driving on motorways at the 56mph (90krnfh) limit. Motorway maintenance workers have alleged that the drivers are "steering by ear" by placing one wheel on the white line and following the noise.

According to Le Figaro, French Transport Minister Dominique Bussereau says accidents involving LGVs have fallen recently but accepts that if these reports are true "something severe" must done.
