Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Shortly after the turn of the century, truck operators were confronted with a range of new safety systems: Lane Warning Departure System, ACC (adaptive cruise control) and most importantly, ESP (electronic stability program). Now it seems these systems are about to be integrated.

The central means of information for the truck is the ACC camera. Not only does it detect the distance to the vehicle in front; it

will soon be able to 'read' the road marking in order to keep the vehicle safely on track.

Most significantly, the ACC camera will be able to detect curves. Other sensors on the vehicle will detect load and speed, creating a more active ESP.

Right now. ESP is effectively blind, and as a result too often reacts too late. But when it is able to react even before the driver steers, the system will become safer.
