This autumn we'll be reporting on the giant IAA Show in Hanover. Germany, where the world commercial vehicle industry will be out in force exhibiting its wares.At the Last exhibition in 2006 the organisers challenged the young designers of Europe to come up with future designs for the truck of 2020.
The designers were tasked with producing safe ind environmentally responsible solutions to the transport of freight byroad, while not ignoring the driver in their finished products.As you'd expect the designs range from the outlandish to the practical, with plenty in between, and while it's unlikely any of the designs will ever make it anywhere near the factory, never mind the road, there are some interesting design elements that may be picked up by truck manufacturers over the coming years.
