Motorists travelling to and from the South-West faced long delays last Tuesday after a fatal accident between a crane and a lorry closed the M5 at Tiverton. The crane crashed through the central barrier on the southbound carriageway at J26—the lorry left the carriageway and shed its load of concrete slabs.
