• North West Water has invested more than £1.5m in 26 vacuum tankers, mainly on Leyland Daf, Seddon Atkinson and Volvo three and four-axled chassis. They will be deployed across NWW's 10 operating divisions.
All the multi-wheeler chassis are equipped with standard Whale Tanker equipment and have a total carrying capacity of 423,000 litres (93,000gal).
