of this Daf FT2100 DHT 4x2 tractive unit as part of a major fleet replacement programme. The 35-tonne GCW artic brings the number of Dafs in Maxted's fleet to five.
The vehicles are powered by Dais 8.25 litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine rated at 160kW (215hp), and are expected to return cover an average of up to 96,000km per year.
Although Thomas Maxted is well known as a removals and . storage company, over recent years it has developed a national distribution service requiring larger capacity vehicles. The Dafs will be used to haul box-bodied and step-frame trailers.
