• Transport handbook publisher Kogan Page (01-279 0433) is about to launch a new book aimed specifically at international operators — "A Manager's Guide to International Road Freighting" written by transport consultant and solicitor Largent Brown.
The 239-page hardback covers a wide variety of TIR topics including documentation required, planning and costing routes, customs procedures and insurance, along with specific information on the legal requirements of European and Middle Eastern countries.
The guide will not only help experienced international operators keep abreast with the latest changes in EEC legislation, but provide a vital reference source to those operators taking their first tentative steps into TIR transport. It will be available from January 29-and costs £12.95.
Kogan Page has also produced the 1987 edition of its popular Transport Manager's Handbook which includes the recent changes to drivers hours, introduced in September 1986, as well as new material on fuel economy and vehicle rental, hire and leasing.
