• Metro Cammell Weyman has unveiled its contender for the lucrative metropolitan taxi market with the launch of its stylish Metrocab.
The Metrocab has been under development by MCW for over two years, and is capable of accommodating a wheelchair passenger.
Its bodyshell is manufactured from glass-reinforced plastic and mounted on a tubular steel chassis.
The engine is Ford's HD 50kW (67hp) DI 2.5-litre diesel engine.
