• Foden plans to update its composite and tubular steelframed cab during the current year, following growing criticism of the existing design's dated and fussy profile.
Prototype models are now under evaluation and include a revised front section, giving smoother lines for improved air flow. Increased space inside also allows for a uniform width bunk to be fitted behind the seats.
General sales and service manager Roger Smith says: "Foden also plans to be first to offer Eaton's latest semi-automatic-manual transmission (SAMT) as a production option."
