Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE PERSON who has taken the most broad-minded view of forthcoming events to be inflicted upon our industry is Steve Hobbs. (CM 2 December 2004) who has seen the whole picture, not just a small corner. The only good thing about the Working Time Directive, if, in fact, there is a good thing, is that we are all in the same boat together. Many people will be wondering HOW they will be able to continue, not IF they want to continue in the haulage industry. When Robert DodsBrown (CM 20 January) asks, "Is our way of life (lying?" The answer, sadly, is "Yes!"

Jean Sharpies J Sharpies & Son (Haulage) Herefordshire I SUPPOSE IT is safe to say that the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency will enforce the law to the letter on drivers, with swingeing penalties for minor infringements (with perhaps more serious cases becoming a hanging offence). But how will this be enforced on the rest of the working population (if at all and how much pressure will the trade associations bring to bear on government to treat us all equally unfairly?
