Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Luton haulier C R Firbank is planning to put a tractorplus-skeletal trailer demonstrator on the road during the next few weeks to demonstrate its fifth-wheel hoist.

It can tip a trailer and discharge its cargo in less than a minute, claims the company. "With a hoist on your tractor there is no need for tipping gear on your trailer," says Firbank. This means less capital outlay and a better payload. There is no need to invest in tipping platforms either says the company.

Built to an American design by Firbank, the hoist costs around £10,500 and weighs some 1.3 tonnes. The demonstrator will be available to interested major fleet operators for a month.
