• The 75,000th ERF has gone into service with Shell (UK). The EC10.32TT 6x2 twin-steer day cab tractive unit is one of 27 on order from Shell. It will be based at the company's distribution depot at Immingham on Humberside.
• MAN has sold more than 300 L 2000 rigids in the UK since its launch last October. the 6.0-10.0 tonne GVW model has won fleet orders from a number of operators
Including BRS, Kennings, Salford Van Hire, TNT and Transfleet.
* The first Scania P93M1 6x2RA fully air-suspended chassis to go on the road in the UK has gone into service with Langrick Potatoes. The vehicle will be used to deliver potatoes to supermarkets around the UK.
• Duni Whittaker has added 10 new Volvo FL61 1 4x2 rig ids with Ray Smith demountable and drawbar systems together with 18 Van Bodies (Lancs) swap bodies to its food disposal service to hotels. The trucks, supplied by Carlisle Commercials, have TD61GB 134kW (180hp) chargecooled engines and Eaton six-speed gearboxes. Eight have sleeper cabs, the other pair day cabs.
