rail terminal is set to be built by the end of next year at Hams Hall in north Warwickshire. Until then the terminal at Landor Street, Birmingham will serve the Midlands.
• A Government announcement that the new waste management licensing systerr—an 0-licence-type system for tip operators—will come into force on 1 May has been greeted with scepticism by the National Association of Waste Disposal Contractors. The date has already been postponed twice.
