A PLAN to extend concessionary fares on public transport to people who are disabled or infirm and cannot work is to be suggested to Transport Minister Mrs. Barbara Castle by Newcastle upon Tyne City Council.
The council decided last week to ask the Minister to consider the plan in her review of the Public Service Vehicles (Travel Concessions) Act 1955 and the Travel Concessions Act 1964.
School Bus Passengers?: A plan to allow people living in remote rural areas to travel as farepaying passengers on school buses is being considered by Northumberland County Council.
One-man Buses for Exeter: Exeter City Transport is to invite tenders for five 42-seat dual entrance one-man single-deck buses for delivery after April 1 1968.
