A PLAN to extend concessionary fares on public transport to people who are disabled or infirm and cannot work is to be suggested to Transport Minister Mrs. Barbara Castle by Newcastle upon Tyne City Council.
The council decided last week to ask the Minister to consider the plan in her review of the Public Service Vehicles (Travel Concessions) Act 1955 and the Travel Concessions Act 1964.
